The company’s 40th anniversary and the opening of the new factory were celebrated in a joyful atmosphere

Vaara Group celebrated company’s 40th anniversary with the inauguration of the new log factory at Vaaran Palkki. The keynote speech was given by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Jari Leppä. The factory’s open doors attracted several hundred guests to the venue.

On Monday, October 18th there was an unusual bustle in Tervola’s Puupuisto when Vaara Group celebrated its 40th anniversary and the opening of a new log factory. Vaaran Palkki’s factory was decorated with dignity and there was a great celebration in the air.

The official program included speeches by the company’s staff and stakeholders, as well as a state greeting by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Jari Leppä. The Minister also carried out the official opening of the new factory and the cutting of the tape. In addition, the audience got to enjoy the great musical performances of the young talents and the event ended with a provincial song sung together. At the celebration, Vaara’s 40-year history was published, which contains the company’s story from its inception to the present.

After the official celebration, it was the turn of the open doors of the Vaaran Palkki’s brand new factory, which attracted a lot of people to the place. In addition to guided factory tours, the guests also had the opportunity to get to know the Vaara Group’s operations and enjoy salmon soup and coffee.
